Get Up Close & Personal with the Rally Cars & Crews in the ’26 Edition

Please note the road closures noted in the poster above.

Given the input from ColGlen and other Community Councils this year’s rally promises to be their best, least disruptive event yet, with opportunites for spectators to get close to the cars and chat with the crews at the Clachan carpark.

The Rally Organisers have added a passage control to the route immediately after SS10/15 at the polytunnel/play area car park.

Each car will be here for approximately five minutes and we will be advising crews at the pre-event briefing that the purpose of this control is to allow interaction with the residents.

The first cars are due at this control at the following times. These are dependent on the rally running to time so they may be slightly later than this.

There should be one car every minute so at any one time there should be five or six cars parked up.

SS10 – 10:00

SS15 – 15:30

And if you haven’t yet received the residents’ pack, it is available here:

Digital Switchover Discussion at Community Council Meeting

Along with many of our usual reports and topical issues, including the Local Place Plan, we plan to discuss how we deal with the imminent Digital Switchover as a community. We have heard how the present plans by the UK & Scottish Governments do not seem to have any idea of what this will mean for a rural community like ours. If you have worries, views or would like more information, please come along to the meeting at the Colintraive Village Hall at 7.30pm on Monday evening.

We will be following our Standing Agenda.

Argyll Rally Residents Survey

As the promoters of the Argyll Rally, Mull Car Club and Dunoon Presents have been asked by Argyll and Bute Council to carry out a survey where views on the rally are sought across the Dunoon and full rally area (i.e. where each stage is taking place and affects households and businesses). Following this request a survey has been created to capture the views of both residents and businesses.

The link to the survey is detailed below but it can also be found via argyllrally.co.uk/residents
