Community Council elections will occur on the 20th August 2026, and everyone with an interest in serving our community as a community councillor is invited to fill out the nomination forms (see below).

Below is the official PDF nomination pack. This can be printed out and filled in (there are instructions for postal nominations available at the end of this post). Alternatively, we have included the Word versions of the forms if you prefer to send in the forms by email.

If you require hard copies of the pack for anyone who prefers to complete and return their nomination by post, or copies of the poster/flyer then please email us at elections@argyll-bute.gov.uk to request these.
Just as a reminder, the nomination period opens on Friday, 5 June 2026, and will close promptly at 4pm on Thursday, 25 June 2026. All completed nominations must reach the Returning Officer within this timeframe. If submitting electronically, please send your forms to elections@argyll-bute.gov.uk. If you choose to submit your nomination by post, please allow enough time for delivery to ensure your application arrives before the deadline. The Notice of Election will be forwarded to you on Thursday, as well as being displayed on the webpage previously mentioned.
